Move Well, Live Well

About The Practitioner

Welcome and thank you for visiting.  My name is A. E. (Tony) Le Cara, Jr.  I am licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Licensed Massage Therapist Instructor (LMT TX126005, LMTI TX3487).  Additionally, I have spent decades in the fitness and exercise industry.

I graduated from the Texas School of Massage (www.texasschoolofmassage.com) and have merged that knowledge base with my experience as a Personal Trainer and years of working with Paul Colosky, PT, ATC (www.valeopt.com) to implement a program to help clients Move Better, Feel Better!

Our bodies are designed to move.
The classic example is the sea cucumber.  It swims through the sea to find the perfect rock on which to live.  Once it settles in the first thing it does is devour it's central nervous system.  You see, a sedentary lifestyle does not require much of a brain.  We are blessed with a beautiful brain and exquisite body in order to perform amazing things!  Then we spend the day sitting at breakfast, sitting on the way to work or school sitting for hours with a brief interlude to sit at lunch, sit on the way home, sit at dinner then sit on the couch and watch a few hours of entertainment before bed.  Next thing you know you are a sea cucumber....  My basic philosophy is The More You Move, The More You Can Move.  The Less You Move, The Less You Can Move.  What happens when circumstances are such that you can no longer move the way you need to do the things you want to?  My purpose is to give you the tools to move better, without pain and limitations.

As a runner, cyclist, and fitness enthusiast, I have experienced the frustration of not being able to do what I want to without pain.  I enjoy applying my knowledge of human movement to assist others to work through the difficult times to reach new personal bests.  I am fully versed in both techniques for relaxation, an important aspect of recovery, and therapeutic techniques.

My personal commitment to helping those who cannot help themselves is through many years of supporting Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (www.turpentinecreek.org).  Photos that I have taken of some of the residents are in the photo gallery.
